This course equips public servants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to deliver public services that are inclusive, accessible, fair, respectful, and responsive to the diverse needs of citizens and communities.

The course helps learners understand that equitable public service does not mean treating every situation identically; it means ensuring that citizens can access services fairly, understand requirements clearly, receive respectful support, and experience public institutions without unnecessary barriers. Learners will explore inclusion, accessibility, equity, vulnerable groups, service barriers, inclusive communication, reasonable support, and continuous improvement.

Understanding Diverse Citizen Needs
This module introduces Understanding Diverse Citizen Needs within Inclusive, Accessible & Equitable Public Services. Help learners recognize the diverse needs, circumstances, abilities, communication preferences, and service challenges citizens may experience when accessing public services. Learners explore Diversity of Citizen Needs and Circumstances, Vulnerability and Service Sensitivity, Bias, Assumptions and Unintentional Exclusion, and Respectful and Dignified Service.

Accessible Service Design and Delivery
This module introduces Accessible Service Design and Delivery within Inclusive, Accessible & Equitable Public Services. Enable learners to identify and reduce barriers in public service processes, service channels, forms, facilities, digital platforms, and citizen journeys. Learners explore Identifying Service Access Barriers, Accessible Physical and Frontline Services, Accessible Digital and Remote Services, and Simplifying Forms, Requirements and Service Pathways.

Inclusive Communication and Citizen Support
This module introduces Inclusive Communication and Citizen Support within Inclusive, Accessible & Equitable Public Services. Help learners communicate inclusively, explain services clearly, support citizens with different needs, and manage service limitations respectfully. Learners explore Inclusive Communication Principles, Supporting Citizens with Communication Barriers, Explaining Rights, Requirements and Limitations Fairly, and Managing Sensitive or High-Need Interactions.

Improving Equity and Accessibility in Public Services
This module introduces Improving Equity and Accessibility in Public Services within Inclusive, Accessible & Equitable Public Services. Help learners use feedback, service data, citizen journey reviews, and team practices to identify inequities, improve accessibility, and strengthen fair service outcomes. Learners explore Identifying Equity Gaps in Service Delivery, Using Feedback to Improve Inclusion and Access, Team Practices for Inclusive Service Delivery, and Inclusive, Accessible and Equitable Service Action Plan.
